That was fly.
A love of exploring, cartography, and imagery has coalesced into adventurous road trips, aerial perspectives, and stories to share.
Ever since I was quite young, on wilderness trips to Northern Ontario, there’s been a love of adventure instilled into me. Maps and cartography came soon after, the natural progression of planning what adventure would come next.
This formalized in college when I studied GIS and surveying, and began taking on freelance cartography projects. And of course, photography was a natural extension of this… a way to document all of the memories and projects.
Wanderlust and drones, who would have ever imagined they would strike at the same time? So here we are with all these amazing subjects and the aerial perspective where we can take so much of it in.
At the end of the moment, it leaves me believing that the time was well spent.
So as I say, “Well, that was fly.”
For the love of adventure, every place and every moment a unique opportunity to see things differently, to find new purpose and greater meaning from a new perspective. At the end of the moment, it leaves me believing that the time was well spent. So as I say, “Well, that was fly.”
Follow along on my adventures. My YouTube channel is in the pipeline and I post images and interests on Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit, I rarely Tweet, and sell prints of my best work right here at ThatWasFly.com.
Custom work is available too… photography, cartography, graphic and web design. Contact me for friendly interactions and inquiries; if it feels mutually beneficial I will be happy to provide a quote, or get you pointed in the right direction.
